Rainbow's End

“This is my first album made after I had settled down on the coast of Maine and began a family. I was hired at a little inn in Camden Maine to sing every other weekend in the Pub called The Thirsty Whale Tavern. It was quite the time, with singing all night, laughing, sharing stories and traditional songs. Many of my own songs quickly became favorites at the establishment; it was there I met many of my best and dearest friends including my wife, during those early days in Maine. A number of my friends conspired to get my songs recorded in 1983. it wasn’t as easy as it is today. Thanks to Glenn Jenks and Ned Ackerman, and the many talented musicians who performed around Maine then, and still do, we recorded Rainbow’s End at the Noel Stookey Studios in Blue Hill Maine. This album contains songs written before and during those euphoric early years of Maine life.” ~ Bob Stuart
