Timberhead Music is a small publishing company that primarily produces the written and recorded music of Gordon Bok. Over the years, we have also published a few works of other poets and musicians. In addition, we carry all of Gordon's earlier Folk Legacy recordings, plus a sampling of music from friends and associates including all of the Bok, Muir, and Trickett recordings. We add new items from time to time, so please check back for updates.

Across the country, community and school choruses are deciding on their repertoires for the season. We have some suggestions for you:

• NEW: Sheet Music for SATB with guitar accompanyment: Windcalling, recorded on the CD cantefable Another Land Made of Water.
  This music may be performed by two choruses singing antiphonally. Gordon suggests "When it is part of the cantefable Another Land Made of Water, we begin it with the Northwest wind verse. However, on other occasions, it is our custom to begin it with the verse of the wind that is blowing at the time we sing, or the expected wind. And we always sing the verses in a clockwise manner, so that the winds are veering."
  This beautiful choral round is perfect as a closing piece for any performance. Hear it this October in Gordon's upcoming Encore performance of the entire cantefable Another Land Made of Water
  
  
• Sheet Music for a cappella SATB: Oh I Am Calling, recorded by the Quasimodal Chorus! on Dear To Our Island. With words by Vermont poet Megaera Vittum-Fitch and music by Gordon Bok, this song is a prime example of Gordon's ability to "move poetry toward music." (He does workshops- ask us about them!)
  
  Coincidentally, Carol Rohl recently called with this endorsement: "As I cook brown rice and toast tamari almonds on a foggy, grey, rainy August morning, listening to Dear To Our Island and admiring the photos of boats and islands, I am cheered and comforted.
